Finding Hope

The brand hero film for the charity’s Finding Hope campaign. Stroke survivors share their moments of hope.

The brief

Stroke Association invited us to deliver their integrated autumn and Christmas campaign focussed on Hope After Stroke. The campaign was based on the idea of ‘finding hope after stroke’, essentially a moment in time that stroke survivors experienced that gave them hope that they might rebuild their lives after stroke.

The aim of the campaign was to increase awareness, engage Stroke Association’s audiences and raise vital funds.

The approach

We worked closely with three stroke survivors to deliver the brand films for this campaign.

We got to know them, spending time speaking to each of them to understand their stories. From this we were able to draft the script for the brand hero film, ensuring the script was in their words but would also work as a film script.

The content for the entire campaign was shot in four days. The shoots were done in their homes, which meant careful planning ahead of time and a small crew on the day. We had to be sensitive to their needs as stroke survivors which was also carefully considered in the shoot planning.
