/MOREVER Meetups
MOREVER Meetups are a space for senior women in charity marketing, comms and fundraising to step away from the day-to-day and connect with others who truly understand the challenges and rewards of this work.
Held quarterly and hosted by our founder, Abi Mellor, each session brings together like-minded leaders for meaningful conversations, fresh ideas, and the kind of support that’s hard to find on a busy schedule. Whether you’re navigating big strategic decisions or simply need space to think things through, you’ll find encouragement, inspiration and community here.
MOREVER Meetups provide:
- Genuine connection with peers across the sector
- Fresh thinking to inspire your work and leadership
- A chance to expand your network in a relaxed setting
- Time to reflect and reconnect with your purpose
- Opportunities to share experiences, swap advice, and feel re-energised.
Every event also includes an informal guest speaker on a topic relevant to us all. Past speakers have covered topics including, behind the scenes on a campaign, media planning, dealing with overwhelm, AI to support your team and your career.
The Spring MOREVER Meetup
Date: Thursday, 19th March 2026
Time: 3 - 5 pm
Location: Artist Residence, London (5 minutes' walk from Victoria Station)
Guest Speaker: Laura Mitchell, Senior Storytelling Manager, SSAFA
A thoughtful, practical conversation on how to create a sustainable flow of stories to power effective campaigns.
For the Spring 2026 Meetup, we're welcoming Laura Mitchell, Senior Storytelling Manager at Armed Forces charity SSAFA, in conversation with our MD, Abi Mellor.
Abi will be hosting a conversation with Laura to discuss working with contributors. Laura’s background as a documentary maker has given her in-depth experience of working with contributors who have experienced trauma. She is now using that experience to develop a culture of storytelling at SSAFA, enabling access to a steady flow of powerful stories from people who have been supported by the charity.
Together, Laura and Abi will explore Laura’s unpressured approach to finding people who are willing to share their experiences, helping organisations develop a pipeline of stories and generate valuable insights that feed campaigns.
This conversation will explore how unpressured, ethical approaches not only protect contributors, but lead to stronger insights, more sustainable storytelling, and campaigns built on long-term relationships rather than one-off asks.
The conversation will explore:
- How to approach contributors with care
- Navigating sensitive stories with confidence and integrity
- New approaches for more powerful, sustainable storytelling
- Creating a storytelling culture that supports a steady flow of contributors
- How brand, comms and fundraising teams can align around shared principles
Attendees will leave with:
-
Fresh perspectives on recognising the best contributors
-
Practical ideas for giving contributors greater agency
-
Ideas for nurturing relationships that lead to insights and shared stories
-
Understanding of how strong storytelling cultures are built and sustained
If your organisation relies on inspiring support through real people’s stories, this conversation will challenge assumptions, spark new thinking, and offer practical takeaways that can be applied straight away.
And, of course, we’ll carve out plenty of time for meaningful, high-impact conversations with fellow senior marketers. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet your peers, share experiences, and ideas.
Places are limited, and they fill up fast. Attendance is totally free for in-house charity sector marketers and this time we are providing 3 paid tickets for consultants to the charity sector.
Book your ticket now - and join other women leaders in shaping the future of purpose-led marketing.
