A suite of films to reveal the ambition and energy of a remarkable place.

The brief

Set in the Sussex countryside, Chailey Heritage Foundation is a unique place designed to give children and young people living with complex disabilities the richest life experience possible.

Far more than a school, it’s a thriving community of learning, care and opportunity - where education, therapy and medical expertise come together to nurture potential and celebrate progress. At Chailey Heritage School, children, who would otherwise face limited opportunities, can access a personalised and individual curriculum alongside an extraordinary range of specialised resources and support.

Chailey Heritage Foundation approached MOREVER with a clear challenge: How do you capture the essence of such an extraordinary community and express it in a way that resonates with parents and carers, professionals and potential team members alike?

Chailey Heritage Foundation wanted to raise awareness of its work through a suite of films for its new website and social media channels. The brief was to tell authentic stories that could inspire pride within the organisation, attract new team members, and help others understand why this place is so special.

The approach

Working in close partnership with the Chailey Heritage Foundation, we spent several months embedded within the school. We filmed in classrooms, therapy spaces, and outdoor learning areas, observing the deep relationships between children, families and staff that make the school’s environment so powerful.

From this, we developed four distinct but connected films:

  • The Hero Film:
    An emotive, music-led piece showing the joy, connection and progress that define daily life. With no voiceover, the story unfolds through smiles, glances and gestures - moments that speak volumes.
  • Our School
    A structured yet heartfelt look at how children thrive when given the right support. Through interviews and dynamic visuals, the film explores the school’s bespoke approach and celebrates its community of care.
  • Recruitment: “A Sign”
    A warm, uplifting portrait of the people who make Chailey Heritage Foundation what it is. Featuring voices from across the team, it highlights the purpose, pride and joy that come from working there.
  • The Activity Place
    A vibrant, promotional film to highlight the range of accessible and inclusive activities for people living with complex disabilities, and their families, that are available across the Chailey Heritage Foundation site.

We also captured drone footage to show the scale and environment, complementing the intimate, human detail at the heart of the films.

The result

The team at Chailey Heritage Foundation now has a suite of films that reflect the depth and commitment of its work, each serving a specific audience but sharing a common emotional thread.

These films help shine a light on how a well thought out, multi-layered approach to care for children and young people with complex disabilities comes together, showing how the organisation nurtures the potential of every young person it supports.
